The punch list

The last small things. Closed, one by one.

Your builder's crew is on the next job and the list is still open. We walk the project with you, price the list once and close it out before the client walks in.

Before the reveal

The day before. The day of.

The ding from the furniture delivery, the cabinet door that drifted, the caulk line that opened. Patched, adjusted and touched up, so the last thing done on the project is not the first thing the client sees.

Really easy to work with from start to finish. They installed a shelf and mounted our TV, communicated clearly, and the pricing was straightforward. Everything came out great. Nicholas M., on Google

How it works, step by step

What we hang and set

Hanging is half of it. We also patch, adjust and touch up, so the wall behind the art is as finished as the art.

  • Art. Single pieces and gallery walls, laid out to your elevation and hung on center.
  • Mirrors. Large and heavy pieces, fixed solid, plumb and level.
  • TVs. Mounted level at the height you set. TV mounting
  • Shelving. Floating shelves and built-ins, set so every line runs true. Carpentry and assembly
  • Hardware. Pulls, knobs, towel bars and hooks, set to your schedule.
  • Fixtures. Sconces, pendants and fans, hung to the heights on your drawings. Fixtures and lighting

Small repairs before the reveal

  • Front door rubs at the head. Planed and sealed, gaps even.
  • Pantry door sits proud of the frame. Hinges adjusted, sits flush.
  • Island pendants hang at three heights. Rehung to the height on the drawing.
  • Vanity drawer catches. Slides adjusted, closes clean.
  • Five framed pieces for the stair wall. Laid out, leveled, hung to your spacing.

That list is a sample. Yours gets one price for the whole list, in writing, before work starts. Starting prices for single jobs are on our services page.

Questions

What firms ask first.

Will you work to our drawings?

Yes. Heights, centers and spacing come from your elevations and schedules. When the drawing and the room disagree, we ask before we drill.

Can you work around other trades and deliveries?

Tell us who else is on site and when. We plan the visit window around them.

Who pays, and when?

The firm pays on completion, after you have walked the finished list. One price for the list is agreed in writing before work starts.

What if an item needs a permit or a city sign-off?

We know the permit desks in every Bay Area county, file the paperwork and see it through. On inspection day: We meet the inspector on site, walk the corrections and get the sign-off.

How fast do you move?

We walk it within 24 hours. You get the price on site. We can start on the spot. The finish date is agreed in writing before work starts.

The reveal is set.
